Small food producers sell at farmers’ markets, from a table at events and through a flood of DMs. Yaybe is the online version of that market table: a free stall where you list your jams, sourdough, honey, coffee, sauces or treats with the details food buyers need — ingredients, dietary tags, size, pickup or shipping — and a link to where they pay you. No commission, ever.

Built for food and drink

Food attributes, built in. Dietary (vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, halal, kosher…), ingredients and allergens, net weight or volume, shelf life, storage, made-in. They show in a Details table on the product page and become filters on the Food & Drink aisle.

Local pickup and shipping, clearly. Tick Local pickup and set where; tick Ships to Canada, US or international. Buyers filter by both. Perishables can be pickup-only with the pickup details in the description.

Sizes and flavours as variants. 250 ml / 500 ml, mild / hot, bag of 6 / bag of 12 — each with its own price, stock flag and payment link. Sold out of the hot sauce? Flip that variant to Sold out; the mild stays buyable.

Pre-orders and seasonal drops. List the holiday cookie box with Starting at pricing and a pre-order payment link; post to followers when orders open. Regulars are what food businesses run on, and following is built in.

Your own checkout. Square, PayPal, Stripe, a Shopify or Squarespace checkout, an e-transfer request page — anything with a link. Buyers pay you directly and Yaybe takes nothing.

Before you list

Food sale rules differ by province and state. Make sure you’re allowed to sell what you list (for example under home-based or cottage food rules), label ingredients and allergens accurately, and describe how items are packed and shipped. See what can’t be sold on Yaybe — alcohol needs a licence, and cannabis products aren’t allowed.

Three steps to your first sale

  1. Sign in with your email. Six-digit code, no password.
  2. Open your shop and list a product. Category, dietary tags, size options, pickup or shipping, photos, price and payment link.
  3. Submit for review and share. Once approved, print yaybe.com/your-shop on your market signage and labels.

Tips for food listings

  • Photograph the product and the label. Buyers read ingredients.
  • List allergens in the attributes, not just the description; it’s a filter.
  • State pickup days and locations and cut-off times for orders.
  • Post market dates so followers know where to find you in person.
  • Record sales at the market too — your regulars can leave verified reviews.
