Seller Terms

What you agree to when you open a shop. These add to the Terms of Service.

Draft for review. These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

These terms apply when you open or manage a shop on Yaybe, in addition to the Terms of Service.

1. Your shop is your business

You are the seller of record for everything in your shop. You are responsible for the accuracy of listings, for pricing, for collecting and remitting any applicable taxes, for shipping or delivering what you sell, for refunds and returns, and for complying with the laws that apply to you and your products. Yaybe is a venue, not a party to your sales.

2. Payments happen off Yaybe

Each product or variant links to a payment page you control (for example a PayPal, Stripe or Square link, or your own checkout). Buyers pay you there. Yaybe does not process payments, hold funds, charge commission or take responsibility for what happens on the payment page. Payment links must be HTTPS, must lead to a page where the buyer can pay for the listed item, and must not use URL shorteners.

3. Honest listings

Listings must describe the actual item, with your own photos or photos you have the right to use. State whether an item is handmade, vintage or resold, its condition, and anything a buyer would reasonably want to know. Prices shown on Yaybe must match the price at your payment page (before shipping and taxes, which you should describe). Don’t list prohibited items.

4. Categories, attributes and tags

Put each product in the right category and fill in the attributes accurately. Tags must describe the product; keyword stuffing, competitor names and unrelated terms are not allowed. Moderators may recategorize products, and repeated misuse can lead to suspension.

5. Approval and status

New shops are reviewed before they open. We may reject a shop, ask for changes, or later suspend it for breaking these terms, the Terms of Service or the law. You’ll be told why by email, and in most cases you can fix the issue and resubmit.

6. Recording sales and reviews

You may record a sale only for a purchase that actually happened, using the buyer’s real email. Recording fake sales, or sales to yourself or your managers, to obtain reviews is a serious breach. Reviews are the buyer’s honest opinion; you may reply once per review but may not pressure, pay or trade for reviews.

7. Managers and ownership

You can invite up to 10 managers (25 on the Pro plan) who can edit products and reply to reviews. You remain responsible for their actions in your shop. Ownership can be transferred to a manager from your settings.

8. Intellectual property and takedowns

Only sell what you have the right to sell. If a rights holder reports a listing, we may remove it and, for repeat problems, close the shop. If you believe a listing on Yaybe infringes your rights, contact us with the details.

9. Fees

Opening a shop, listing products and selling are free. A Pro seller plan with higher limits will be offered later; its price will be shown before you choose it, and the free plan will remain.

10. Closing a shop

You can close your shop at any time. Its pages return “gone” and its data is deleted after 30 days. Old web addresses are never given to another shop.
